PARTNERS MEETING OF THE ERASMUS+ DIGITRANS PROJECT IN BALTI in June at Alecu Russo” State University of Balti

The working meeting of the Erasmus+ DIGITRANS project team took place on June 19-21st of 2024 and was hosted by “Alecu Russo” State University of Balti. Held in an innovative environment – the “SMART Cafe” area within the NORTEK Innovation and Technology Transfer Center – the event brought together all project partners to discuss progress and future work strategies.

Associate Professor Dr. Valentina Pritcam, Vice-Rector for Scientific Activity and International Relations of the host University, welcomed the participants and highlighted the essential role of universities in promoting innovation and digital technologies. Claudia Melinte, coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova, reiterated the relevance of Erasmus+ projects in strengthening the capacities of universities, emphasizing the importance of the DIGITRANS project in ensuring the quality training for engineers.

The working sessions and management meetings facilitated the exchange of knowledge and best practices among the participants. The latest results obtained within the project were presented and discussed, identifying new opportunities for collaboration.

Members of the host university presented the NORTEK Innovation and Technology Transfer Center, which plays a special role in the development of research, innovation, and technology transfer in the Northern Development Region. The Center’s goal is to provide training programs for students, collaborators, and graduates of USARB, entrepreneurs, representatives of the industry and small and medium-sized businesses, as well as for all those interested in research and innovation.

During the meeting, various topics were addressed, such as the implementation of Double Degree programs, the development of digital skills, the implementation of innovative solutions in education and business, and the challenges and opportunities brought by digitalization in various sectors.

An important aspect of the meeting was the visit to the project partner, the German company DRÄXLMAIER. This was a unique opportunity to observe the practical application of technologies and solutions developed within the DIGITRANS project.
